Glitches

Glitches and bugs are errors in the programming of the game. Players can mostly take advantage of those glitches to perform things that can not normally happen in the game. Glitches can be triggered from problems within a game's code or can be exploited by programmers.

List of Glitches in Fantasy Life

Canceling Attacks

When fighting a monster and the player is about to get hit by an attack, pressing the menu icon or the Y-button will prevent the monster causing any damage to the player. However, the background music of the attack can still be heard. This is very useful for boss grinding.

Player Size Glitch

A player has become giant after joining a multiplayer session.

In multiplayer, there is a chance that the joining player will appear as a giant on the host's screen. The method to achieve the glitch is not known. A video of the glitch is here. The glitch seems to happen only to a player with corrupted data.

Door Glitch

In any of the trials in the Ancient Tower or the Ancient Ruins, even after the enemies are defeated there is a slight chance that the door will appear to stay closed, though you can walk right through them.

Fishing without moving

Very rarely, the player may press A to fish at an appropriate spot and the character will not move despite casting their line. The player must press B to cancel the glitch, as pressing X to use the Special Move will result in the game freezing. Attempting to catch the fish during the glitch is not advised.

Nonexistent Laura (Highly Untested, not much known, may not work)

Was found on 3ds

In chapter two, if you have Laura in your party and are climbing Mt. Snowpeak at sunset, teleport to your room and walk to the bed. Laura should be standing perfectly still, and if you walk in her direction you will go through her like she is in your party. Then if you move around some more then she will act like a non-party NPC. She will act like the Laura in her room until you wake up the next morning. She will then follow you and act normally. It is unknown if you need to choose "sleep" to reset the glitch, but it is ill-advised to choose "rest" instead as this is HIGHLY UNTESTED and may only occur in some games, or even crash the game if you rest.
