Hey sorry it took so long to respond, been dealing with a lot of things irl. It'll take some time for me to look over all the changes made, however they look really good & I'm really happy someone cares about this game so much! It's one of the reasons I took these titles at the time that I did. I'm unsure about the templates that were blocked as it wasn't my doing. I do enjoy all the changes & the sketch you made for the wiki, however I won't be able to give permission as of now since it requires an administrator to do so. That was set by KidProdigy & I'm unsure of how to give administrator responsibilities. The closest I could do for now is one of two things: have you send me what you've been working on & me make the edits on your behalf, giving you credit for doing so of course. Or, give you permission for a limited time at a certain time for you to make the changes. I know this probably aren't the best answers I could give, I'm just working with what knowledge I have. I hope you understand & again I truly appreciate the additions you've made to the wiki :) AndeWiki (talk) 22:27, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

Wiki skin

Hello, Skelark! I'm Kevin, a Wiki Specialist with Fandom. We noticed that on dark mode, the text in your infoboxes was difficult to read. I've taken the liberty of fixing this. Feel free to give feedback. Have a nice day! Killer kev (talk) 15:53, 20 September 2021 (UTC) <staff />

Admin Rights

Hey there. Saw you were the only active Admin on the Fantasy Life Wiki and was curious if you were able to give rights at all. I plan on publishing a bunch of data for Fantasy Life Online. Kogath (talk) 23:48, 30 December 2021 (UTC)

Collapsable Menus in navbar are outdated

Hey, I just wanted to mention that the navbar menus are pretty outdated and it would be nice if you could change them. For example they link here and here. Adjusting them should be easy on MediaWiki:Wiki-navigation, but Administrator permissions are necessary so I thought I'd ask you. ADDB (talk) 17:13, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the fast answer! I didn't mean to ask for Administrator, or I would've asked a Bureaucrat. While nice, I'm still too new to warrant that rank so I instead reached out to the most recently active Admin (which is you). I don't have a perfect idea for a navbar, but at least the broken/unknown links should be removed. Something like this probably:
* Main Page|Wiki
** Fantasy Life
*** category:Walkthroughs|Walkthroughs
*** category:Locations|Locations
*** category:Game Mechanics|Game mechanics
*** category:Quests|Quests
*** category:Lives|Lives
*** category:Characters|Characters
** Fantasy Life Online
* category:Media|Media
** Passwords
** Music
** Staff of Fantasy Life|Staff
*Special:Community|Community
**[https://discord.gg/0kB5bPRYzaadg3KF]|Discord Server
As you might notice I changed the main Wiki tab around a little. That's because I think the current one is very centered around the original Fantasy Life. Since a new game is going to be released this year I think it might be worth taking the future into account there. ADDB (talk) 22:01, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

Change of Challenges Table Template

Hey, besides the navbar I have another issue. The current Challenges Table Template is completely unreadable in dark mode. I tweaked the colors somewhat to make it pretty neat looking in dark mode here is the actual implementation. Using that color scheme, the properties of tabbers would make the light mode unreadable though (since it changed color based on theme). To prevent that I needed a little User:ADDB/common.css. Since I can only affect my local css I would need an Administrator to add it to MediaWiki:Common.css. Once you added that one css rule and approved the new template design either you or me could then change the Template:Challenges Table to the code from User:ADDB/Sandbox. I'll also add that template to the lives where it isn't currently in use. The yellow color from the collapsable bar stays the same. I don't think it looks that bad with the new design, but it's protected (Template:CustomCollapsible) either way so you can decide about that. Thanks for helping out! ADDB (talk) 22:15, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

Skelark === hehehe
Hi, (Template:CustomCollapsible) No longer protected. :P
I also added the rule for the table, feel free to change and add the new colors for the dark mode. I like this wiki with the light mode so I believe that there are more problems with the dark mode colors. :P Skelark (talk) 23:15, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for helping out! I changed the template into the new one. It looks pretty neat in dark mode in my opinion, but how is it with light mode? I don't really use light mode so I'll leave that decision to you. If you liked the old light mode design more we could actually make it Mode dependent.
Talking about mode dependent, Since you unprotected the template I looked into improving the design. The current light mode one seems to fit well and I don't think I can find one that fits that well into both light and dark mode, so I decided to instead opt for a mode dependant design which needs, you guessed it, custom css.
.theme-fandomdesktop-dark .customCollapsible {
background: linear-gradient(#393737, #3d3945);
color: #eeeeee;
}
.theme-fandomdesktop-light .customCollapsible {
background: linear-gradient(#f8cb34, #ffdd7a);
color: #511e00
}
After somebody helpful added the custom css, I could then switch out the inline css in the template with the customCollapsible class to keep light mode formatting as is but add an improved version for dark mode
Finally another thing concerning the Navbar which you helpfuly editted. I noticed that the page Lives exist, so maybe linking that instead of Category:Lives would be preferable. Thanks! ADDB (talk) 11:25, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
It's me again. I really thought I was done with the questions and create the remaining Challenge Tables, but I noticed one listing a Special Request. This made me think. We have no mention of them in the Live pages at all. What do you think, should we keep it like right now (11/12 pages don't mention the special request); should we add an extra section on each page or should we add the special request to the class challenge template (I visualized this version on my Sandbox). ADDB (talk) 12:28, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
New css rules added, looks good. About the special request the extra tab it also looks good, but is up to you. Do as you like with extra section or table tab. But for sure that information should be mention on the Live pages. Maybe even create a new section for the dlc exclusive stuff, cuz dlc adds a lot. Although most section already have the information about dlc in each one. It's up to you. Feel free to edit. Skelark (talk) 14:21, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
Thanks again! I think I'll try to make the wiki more dark mode friendly first. I just visited Origin Island because of what you said and got my eyes stabbed twice. Once by the wonderful Template:World/nav and once by the table there. For the first one I'm working User:ADDB/Sandbox2 here on a presentable solution, but still haven't got around doing the CSS to enable both modes for that. What I did do was creating the css for the table. But I think that's enough CSS for me today; maybe tomorrow more^^. Here is the CSS. ADDB (talk) 15:18, 17 February 2023 (UTC)

Bureaucrat rights

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I've granted you 'crat rights for this wiki. You should be able to promote users now. Best of luck, and let me know if you need anything. —Vec (talk) <staff /> 04:19, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
